Critiquing Photo Challenge

"The Water Lily"
"The Water Lily"

I thought this was the best image I had taken for the "Critiquing Photo Challenge" because it is a good example of what a good photo is considered to be. It follows the aesthetic photo category by centering the focal point, using leading lines for the viewer, and is vibrant. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was choosing which type of photographs to attempt. For categories like ethically evaluative or theoretical, I knew it would be difficult to attempt them, given my limited resources. For future assignments, I will choose to work with a broader range of subjects and environments to create more thought-provoking pieces that can be categorized as ethically evaluative.

I really love how peaceful and elegant your water lily photo turned out. The use of soft lighting and the way you centered the flower makes it feel super intentional. It’s simple but super effective. Great job on choosing something so serene it really stands out! 😊
